Main Road, Colwich – Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic For Fencing Installation Works
What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council on 25/11/2025 made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit traffic along Main Road, Colwich. Due to unforeseen circumstances the works (which were due to take place on 1/12/25 have been delayed and are now due to start on 16/2/26. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB145929363. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 17/2/26. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the fencing installation works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
TEMPORARY 40 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION
Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council on 9/12/25 made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit vehicles from exceeding a speed limit of 40 mph along: B5066 Sandon Road, Hopton. For more information regarding timings please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB145947492. The Order will come into operation on 15/12/25 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed on the same day. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the BT pole renewal works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
