SECTION 14 (1)
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF CHURCH LANE, HIGH CATTON
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the
date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of
which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding
along part of Church Lane, High Catton from
approximately 80 metres east of the junction with
Rectory Lane/Main Street eastbound to its junction
with High Catton Road, Stamford Bridge/Main Street,
High Catton commencing 12 January 2026
08.00 hours until 16 January 2026
17.00 hours for the purpose of installation of
ducting and chambers for the new BDUK fibre
network on behalf of Quickline Communications work.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to
be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring
the safety of the public. The Order is valid for
18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
completed within five days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the
road closure will be via: Church Lane, Main Street,
Broad Lane, Lofthouse Lane, Main Street, Catton CP,
Pocklington Provincial Ward
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure.
The road will be closed to all through traffic but access
will be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles
and pedestrians.
