Joss Lane and Fairholme, Sedbergh - Temporary Road Closures due to Utility Works
What is happening?
WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (JOSS LANE AND FAIRHOLME, SEDBERGH) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of;
(i) Joss Lane, from its junction with Bainbridge Road, extending in a northerly then north easterly direction for approx. 90 metres;
and
(ii) Fairholme, from its junction with Joss Lane, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 30 metres.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted section Fairholme, Howgill Lane and Bainbridge Road.

The Order will come into operation on 7th January 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required for 2 days and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
