Westmorland and Furness - Temporary Road Closures due to Utility Works

What is happening?

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (C5018, LOWICK BRIDGE AND OXENHOLME LANE, NATTRAND) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road;

(i) C5018, Lowick Bridge, from its junction with the A5084, extending in a south westerly direction to its junction with the A5092.
Alternative Route: via the A5092 and the A5084. Duration: From 5th January 2026 for approx. 12 weeks (Ref: TTROW/16500)

(ii) Oxenholme Lane, Natland, from its junction with Burton Road, extending in a south westerly direction to its junction with Helm Lane.
Alternative Route: via Helm Lane, Natland Road and Burton Road (A65). Duration: From 5th January 2025 for approx. 12 weeks (Ref: TTROW/16508)

The Order will come into operation on 5th January 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
