What is happening?
WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS IN THE SOUTH LAKELAND LOCALITY)(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) (NO.27) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the attached Schedule.
Suitable diversion routes will be indicated on site by the display of relevant traffic signs as and when the temporary closures are in force.
Phased works will not necessarily be done in numerical order.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 6th January 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required for those dates as stated in the schedule and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

SCHEDULE
EXTENT OF RESTRICTIONS AND ALTERNATIVE ROUTES
1. Holy Well Lane and Willow Lane, Flookburgh – From 6th January 2026 for Approx. duration 8 days (Ref: TTROW/16540)
Phase 1: Holy Well Lane, Flookburgh, from its junction with Willow Lane, extending in a south easterly direction for a distance of approx. 780 metres.
There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.
Phase 2: Willow Lane, Flookburgh, from its junction with Holy Well Lane, extending in a westerly direction to its junction with Moor Lane.
Alternative Route: via Moor Lane, B5277 and Wrayholme Lane.
2. C5022, Oxen Park – From 12th January 2026 for Approx. duration 3 days (Ref: TTROW/16751)
From its junction with the U5212, extending in a north easterly direction to its junction with the U5211.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C5022, A5092, A590 and the C5026.
3. A593, Coniston – From 14th January 2026 for Approx. duration 10 nights between the hours of 18:00 and 06:00 ONLY (Ref: TTROW/16829)
From its junction with the A5084, extending in a north easterly direction to its junction with the Lake Road.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the A593, A5075, Lake Road (A591), Ambleside Road, Rayrigg Road, A592, A590, A5092 an the A5084.
4. C5022, Colton – From 15th January 2026 for Approx. duration 5 days (Ref: TTROW/16577)
From its junction with the U5212, extending in a southerly direction to its junction with the U5023.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C5022, A5092, A590 and the C5026.
5. C5022, Force Forge – From 20th January 2026 for Approx. duration 4 days (Ref: TTROW/16576)
From its junction with Corker Lane, extending in a north easterly direction to its junction with the U5059.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C5022, A5092, A590 and the C5026.
6. U5061, Rusland – From 26th January 2026 for Approx. duration 3 days (Ref: TTROW/16836)
From its junction with the C5025, extending in a easterly direction for a distance of approx. 280 metres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the U5061, U5060 and the C5025.
