What is happening?

NOTICE OF MAKING OF AN ORDER
SECTION 119 – HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
PUBLIC FOOTPATH D19 (PARTS) IN THE PARISH OF SCRAPTOFT AND THE DISTRICT OF HARBOROUGH
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2025
The above Order made on 20th November 2025 will divert the part of Footpath D19 shown by a bold continuous line on Plan No. 2541/B which extends from Grid Reference 46501 30494 to Grid Reference 46505 30484
The above Order made on 20th November 2025 will also divert that part of Footpath D19 shown by a bold continuous line on Plan No. 2541/C from grid reference 46490 30530 to Grid Reference 46492 30504 and then continues to Grid Reference 46495 30504. The sections of footpath to be diverted have a recorded width of 1.22 metres (4 feet).
The alternative route is shown by a bold broken line on Plan No. 2541/B which extends from Grid Reference 46501 30494 to Grid Reference 46505 30489 and then continues to Grid Reference 46505 30484.
And also, the alternative route is shown by a bold broken line on Plan No. 2541/C which extends from grid reference 46490 30530 to Grid Reference 46495 30504.
The new public footpaths will have a width of 1.8 metres between Spencer Clarke Road (SCR) and Donaldson Close, 2 metres between SCR and Grid Reference 46505 30484, and 2 metres between Grid Reference 46495 30504 and 46490 30530. A copy of the Order and map has been placed and may be seen free of charge at Room 200 Main Building, County Hall, Glenfield, Leicestershire, LE3 8RA and the offices of Harborough District Council, Symington Building, Adam & Eve Street, Market Harborough, Leicestershire, LE16 7AG during office opening hours. A copy has also been sent to Scraptoft Parish Council. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased at a cost. Please contact hayley.tennant@leics.gov.uk quoting HTWMT/4421 requesting the above.
Any representation about or objection to the Order may be sent in writing to me at the undermentioned address quoting reference HT/HTWMT/4421 not later than 5th January 2026. Please state the grounds on which it is made. Alternatively, objections can be emailed to hayley.tennant@leics.gov.uk.
If no such representation or objection is duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Leicestershire County Council may confirm the Order as unopposed. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representation or objection which has not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
