WEST BERKSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL (THE COUNCIL) INTENDS TO MAKE ORDERS AS FOLLOWING
(FOOTPATH FROM CONDOR CLOSE TO KNOWSLEY ROAD ADJACENT TO 1, TILEHURST) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS, CYCLISTS AND EQUESTRIANS) ORDER 2026
The Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any use of the following footpath, namely Footpath from Condor Close to Knowsley Road adjacent to 1 in Tilehurst, between its junction with Knowsley Road and its junction with Condor Close.
The alternative route for pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians effected by the order is via Knowsley Road, Talbot Way, Condor Close and vice versa.
The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the footpath, namely for SSE to carry out LV network overlay works.
The proposed Order will come into effect on 5th January 2026 it is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 5th and 23rd January 2026. The Order shall remain in force for a period of six months or until the works are complete, whichever is the soonest.
Unless stated otherwise the above orders shall remain in force for a period of eighteen months, or until the works are complete, whichever is the soonest, they will not take effect until approved traffic signs have been erected. Final details of the closure can be viewed on One.Network
