What is happening?

The above Order made on 16th day of October 2025, if confirmed as made, will modify the definitive map and statement for the area by adding to them the footpath commencing from a junction with Holcombe Vale at grid reference ST 7771 6618 and proceeding in a generally southerly and then south-easterly direction for approximately 78 metres to a junction with Holcombe Vale at grid reference ST 7775 6611.
A copy of the order and the order map may be seen free of charge at The One Stop Shop at 3-4 Manvers Street, Bath during normal office hours. Copies of the order and map may be bought from the Council at the price of £5.00 – to purchase please telephone the Public Rights of Way Team on 01225 477650.
Any representation or objection relating to the order must be sent in writing to the Public Rights of Way Team, Bath and North East Somerset Council, Lewis House, Manvers Street, Bath, BA1 1JG not later than 28th January 2026 and applicants are requested to state the grounds on which it is made. Please note that all representations received will be considered in public by the Council and that the substance of any representation together with the name and address of the person making it will become available for public inspection.
If no representations or objections are duly made to the order, or to any part of it, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Bath and North East Somerset Council, instead of submitting the order to the Secretary of State (or part of it if the authority has by notice to the Secretary of State so elected under paragraph 5 of Schedule 15 to the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981) may itself confirm the order (or that part of the order). If the order is submitted to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs, in whole or in part, any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with it.
