U5313 Burneside - Temporary Road Closure due to Utility Works

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (U5313 BURNESIDE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of the U5313 Burneside, from its junction with Bridge Street, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 170 metres. A suitable alternative route for all traffic will be signed and available via the C5057 New Road, C5058 and the U5313 Bridge Street.

The Order will come into operation on 5th January 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 3 months and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
