Jacks Hill and Church Road, North Poorton – Temporary Road Closure due to Maintenance Works

What is happening?

Dorset Council
Temporary Traffic Management Order,
Various Roads, North Poorton

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 08 December 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 16 December 2025.

This Order will enable Dorset Council, safe access to carry out carriageway maintenance works.

The effect of the Order is as follows:

[1] To impose a temporary road closure on the following roads as indicated by signs on site; Jacks Hill - Church Road.

[2] To impose a parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent parking on the highway along; Jacks Hill - Church Road.

[3] To impose a clearway as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting on the highway along; Jacks Hill - Church Road.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
