NOTICE IS HEREBYGIVENthat Kirklees Council propose to introduce the following Traffic Calming features, in the form of:
Four Tapered Road Plateaux and seven sets of Speed
Cushions along Sunny Bank Road, Mirfield. Each Speed Cushion will be 3.5m long x 1.6m wide, “flat-top” with a maximum height of 75mm, and approach and side ramp gradients of 1 in 8 and 1 in 4 respectively.
Each Tapered Road Plateau will have 6m long “flat top” and 1.5m long approach ramps, with a maximum heights and gradients of 75mm and 1 in 20 respectively.
Feature TC1– One Tapered Road Plateaux, the centre point of which to be located on Sunny Bank Road 7 metres north of the north kerbline of Moor View measured along the eastern channel of Sunny Bank Road.
Feature TC2– One pair of Speed Cushions, the centre point of the cushions to be located 1.75 metres north of the projected boundary of Nos. 146 /148 Sunny Bank Road. Feature TC3– One pair of Speed Cushions, the centre point of the cushions to be located 6 metres north of the projected boundary of Nos. 130 /132 Sunny Bank Road. Feature TC4– One Tapered Road Plateaux, the centre point of which to be in line with the projected boundary of Nos. 116 /118 Sunny Bank Road.
Feature TC5– One pair of Speed Cushions, the centre point of the cushions to be in line with the projected boundary of Nos. 102 /104 Sunny Bank Road.
Feature TC6– One pair of staggered Speed Cushions, the centre point of the NW bound cushion is to be located at the projected boundary of Nos. 113 / 115 Sunny Bank Road. The centre point of the SE bound cushion is to be located 4,5m SE of the projected boundary of Nos. 113 / 115 Sunny Bank Road.
Feature TC7– One Tapered Road Plateaux, the centre point of which to be located 14.5 metres southeast of the projected northwestern kerbline of The Coppice measured along the centreline of Sunny Bank Road.
Feature TC8– One Triple set of Speed Cushions, the centre point of the cushions to be in line with the projected boundary of Nos. 66 / 68 Sunny Bank Road.
Feature TC9– One Triple set of Speed Cushions, the centre point of the cushions to be in line with the projected boundary of Nos. 54 / 56 Sunny Bank Road.
Feature TC10– One Tapered Road Plateaux, the centre point of which to be in line with the projected boundary of Nos. 36 /38 Sunny Bank Road.
Feature TC11– One Triple set of Speed Cushions, the centre point of the cushions to be in line with the projected boundary of Nos. 27 / 29 Sunny Bank Road.
