Thanet, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make
the following Orders.

THANET AREA

Albert Street, Ramsgate, CT11 9PG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow crane works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Albert Street, Ramsgate, on or after 15th December 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Addington Street and Hertford Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via Addington Street, The Broadway, West Cliff Road and Hertford Street.

The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via Hertford Street, Hertford Place and Addington Street.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Balmoral Place, Ramsgate, CT11 8JF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Balmoral Place, Ramsgate, on or after 15th December 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the rear of number 5 Wellington Crescent in Balmoral Place, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Church Street, Broadstairs, CT10 2TL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Street, Broadstairs, on or after 16th December 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 22A, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Church Street, B2053 Albion Road, B2053 St Peters Park Road, A255 St Peters Road, A255 Broadstairs Road, Vicarage Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Nash Road, Margate (PROHIBITION OF PARKING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To facilitate development access to the work site, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit parking on Part of Nash Road, Margate, on or after 18th December 2025 for up to 366 days or until the works have been completed.

Nash Road will have a prohibition of parking imposed from the junction of B2052 Hartsdown Road to the site entrance of Navigator’s Walk, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.



School Lane, Ramsgate, CT11 8QR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of School Lane, Ramsgate, on or after 16th December 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 82, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Broad Street, Hardres Street and School Lane.

The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via School Lane, Hardres Street, A255 Boundary Lane, Church Road and Broad Street.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Sydney Road, Ramsgate, CT11 8AD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sydney Road, Ramsgate, on or after 15th December 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 24, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
