Footpath 58(A), Bredbury And Romiley - Temporary Closure For Works
What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (FOOTPATH 58(A), BREDBURY AND ROMILEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) NOTICE 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which will be to introduce a Temporary Closure of Footpath 58(a) Bredbury and Romiley, for approximately 35m between no.2 Greenhead Fold and no.12 Greenhead Fold, whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said footpath. This Order is necessary to enable works conducted by Network Plus to take place. It is estimated that the maximum duration of the works will be 6 months. The following diversion will be provided: from the northern end of Greenhead Fold in a westerly direction along Bredbury Green, then south on The Ridgeway, then east along Agecroft Road to the southern end of Greenhead Fold. This Order is to come into operation on 26 January 2026 and will have effect for six months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
