What is happening?
Highways
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make
the following Orders.
SEVENOAKS AREA
Brasted Hill Road, Brasted, TN16 1NJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of the installation of a new electricity supply for a customer, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Brasted Hill Road, Brasted, on or after 15th December 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Willows Lodge.
The alternative route is via Brasted Hill Road, Brasted Hill, Pilgrims Way, Hogtrough Hill, Station Road, Coles Lane and vice versa.
Church Road, Hartley, DA3 8DT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of overhead UKPN line replacement works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Road, Hartley, on or after 17th December 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Rose Cottage Farm.
The alternative route is via Church Road, St Johns Lane, Ash Road and vice versa.
Claremont Road, Hextable, BR8 7RJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of BT pole replacement, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Claremont Road, Hextable, on or after 15th December 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Mansfield Road and Rowzill Road.
The alternative route is via St Davids Road, B258 Top Dartford Road, B258 Main Road, College Road, Malyons Road, Claremont Road and vice versa.
Lower Green, Leigh, TN11 8RS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of an electrical service upgrade, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lower Green, Leigh, on or after 15th December 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Fleur De Lis.
The alternative route is via B2027 High Street - B2027 Penhurst Road - B2176 Morden Lane - B2176 Station Hill - B2176 Penhurst Road - B2176 Rogues Hill - B2176 Penshurst Road - Haysden Lane - Ensfield Road and vice versa.
New Road, Sundridge, TN14 6DQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of the repair of four defective fire hydrant boxes, frame and covers, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of New Road, Sundridge, on or after 15th December 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Church Street and Birchfield.
The alternative route is via New Road, A25 Main Road, Church Road and vice versa.
Otford Lane, Halstead, TN14 7EF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Otford Lane, Halstead, on or after 18th December 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Somerfield and Otford Lane Mission Church.
The alternative route is via Otford Lane, Shoreham Road, Shoreham Lane, Badgers Mount Roundabout, A224 London Road, A224 Polhill and vice versa.
Parkgate Road, Orpington, BR6 7PY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of drainage cleansing works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Parkgate Road, Orpington, on or after 16th December 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the Overpass to outside Parkgate House.
There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.
