Paddenswick Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic To Water Supply Works

What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF HAMMERSMITH AND FULHAM

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1)
(PADDENSWICK ROAD) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

1. The Council of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham hereby gives notice that in order to facilitate water supply works to the highway in the above-named road; it intends to make an Order the effect of which would temporarily prohibit traffic in the above-named road.

2. Whilst works are in progress, or whilst the authorised traffic signs are displayed no person shall cause or permit any vehicle travelling westbound or eastbound on Goldhawk Road to turn into Paddenswick Road.

3. An alternative route for traffic in article 2a shall be provided via the Goldhawk Road, King Street, Studland Street, Glenthorne Road, Dalling Road, Hammersmith Grove, Queen Caroline Street, Hammersmith Road, Butterwick, Talgarth Road and Studland Street.

4. Exemptions would be provided in the Order to permit reasonable access to premises, so far as it is practical without interference with the execution of the said work and for works vehicles, any vehicle being used in connection with police, fire or ambulance purposes and anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.

5. The Order would come into operation on the 9th January 2025 and would be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

6. Works would be expected to commence on Friday 9th January 2025 and last until 11th January 2025.Backup dates would be provided on the 16th January 2025 to the 18th January 2025. The dates specified are for guidance and informative purposes only and works may extend outside these dates.
