C225 BEUKLEY JUNCTION TO ROSES BOWER JUNCTION HALLINGTON AND U8162 GREAT WHITTINGTON JUNCTION TO ROSES BOWER JUNCTION GREAT WHITTINGTON (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of roads in the County of Northumberland:

    • C225 Beukley Junction to Roses Bower Junction Hallington from its junction with A68 Beukley Bank to Bingfield Cottages heading in a north easterly direction for its entire length.

  • U8162 Great Whittington Junction to Roses Bower Junction from its junction with C225 Beukley Junction to Roses Bower Junction heading in a south easterly direction for a distance of 1500 metres.

The Order is to be effective from the 5th January 2026 until the 30th January 2026.

It is expected that the roads will only be closed from the 5th January 2026 until the 23rd January 2026 and that the roads will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will still remain in place until 30th January 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via A68, B6318, C224, C225 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

C211 DISTRICT BOUNDARY TO WEST BELSAY JUNCTION CAPHEATON (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C211 District Boundary to West Belsay Junction Capheaton from its intersection with the C224 Quary Closure Point to Boghall Junction for a distance of 1580 metres in a north-easterly direction in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 5th January 2026 until the 27th February 2026.

It is expected that the road will be closed at all times from the 5th January 2026 until the 13th February 2026 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until the 27th February 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being C211, B6309, C340, C224 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

C205 COLDCOATES TO WARK AND STOREY TERRACE WARK (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of roads in Wark in the County of Northumberland:

The Order is to be effective from the 5th January 2026 until the 16th January 2026.

    • C205 Coldcoates to Wark from its junction with C204 Wark to Dunkerley heading in a south westerly direction for a distance of 400 metres.

      It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 5th January 2026 until the 7th January 2026 between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 16th January 2026.

    • C205 Coldcoates to Wark from its junction with C204 Wark to Dunkerley heading in a south easterly direction for a distance of 860 metres.

  • Storey Terrace from its junction with C205 Coldcoates to Wark heading in an easterly direction for its entire length.

    It is expected that the roads will only be closed from the 8th January 2026 until the 9th January 2026 between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 16th January 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via C205, B6320 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

C234 HEXHAM BYPASS TO FOURSTONES HEXHAM (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C234 Hexham Bypass to Fourstones Hexham from its junction with the District Footpath 080 heading in a northerly direction for a distance of 160 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 17th January 2026 until the 18th January 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 17th January 2026 until the 18th January 2026 between the hours of 23:00 and 09:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 18th January 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via C234, B6319, A686, A69 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

B6309 HINDLEY TO STOCKSFIELD (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the B6309 Hindley to Stocksfield from its junction with U8113 Broomley Junction to Old Ridley Junction heading in a southerly direction for a distance of 380 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 12th January 2026 until the 16th January 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 12th January 2026 until the 14th January 2026 between the hours of 06:30 to 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 16th January 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via B6309, A695, A68, B6278, A691, A694 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

U9041 THE TOWNE GATE HEDDON-ON-THE-WALL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U9041 The Towne Gate Heddon on the Wall from its junction with the road from Towne Gate to Tulips Yard for a distance of 15 metres in a north-easterly direction in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 5th January 2026 until the 8th January 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 5th January 2026 between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until the 8th January 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being U9041, B6528, U9041 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C202 Birtley to Bellingham from its junction with U5027 Redesmouth Junction to Rawfoothole heading in a south westerly direction for a distance of 70 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 11th January 2026 until the 18th January 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 11th January 2026 between the hours of 09:30 & 15:30 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 18th January 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via C202, C201, B6320, A68, U5026 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

U6526 CHEYNE ROAD WESTERN AVENUE FOOTWAY PRUDHOE (TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by pedestrian traffic on that section of the U6526 Cheyne Road Western Avenue Footway Prudhoe from its junction with U6526 Cheyne Road heading in a westerly direction for a distance of 40 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 5th January 2026 until the 9th January 2026.

It is expected that the footway will only be closed on the 5th January 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 9th January 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via U6526, U6528 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

U8276 CHEYNE ROAD WESTERN AVENUE FOOTWAY PRUDHOE (TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by pedestrian traffic on that section of the U8276 Cheyne Road Western Avenue Footway Prudhoe from its point with the front of number 28 Western Avenue heading in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 16 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 19th January 2026 until the 30th January 2026.

It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 19th January 2026 until the 23rd January 2026 and that the footway will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 30th January 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via Cheyne Road Western Avenue Footway, Cheyne Road, Western Avenue and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

U5002 ROAD TO NEW HILLOCK ROCHESTER (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U5002 Road to Near Hillock Rochester 14 metres northwards from its point with the front of number 14 Brememium Way heading further northwards for a distance of 35 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 19th January 2026 until the 9th February 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 19th January 2026 until the 23rd January 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 9th February 2026.

There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.

PARISH OF BROOMHAUGH AND RIDING PUBLIC FOOTPATH NUMBER 12 (TEMPORARY PUBLIC FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use of Parish of Broomhaugh and Riding Public Footpath No 12, in the County of Northumberland.

The route is described as follows:

Broomhaugh and Riding Public Footpath No 12

From a point immediately south-east of Treetops in a general north-westerly and northerly direction for a distance of 170 metres to join the U8098 road (Sandy Lane) immediately south of Stonefield.

There is no alternative route available.

The Order is to be effective from the 5th January 2026 until the 5th July 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 19th January 2026 until the 20th January 2026 between the hours of 09:00–15:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 31st January 2026.

The Order is to be effective from the 19th January 2026 until the 31st January 2026.

PARISH OF BLANCHLAND BYWAYS OPEN TO ALL TRAFFIC NUMBERS 26, 30 AND 31

(TEMPORARY BYWAYS CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use of Parish of Blanchland Byways Open to All Traffic Nos 26, 30 and 31, in the County of Northumberland.

The routes are described as follows:

    • Blanchland Byway Open to All Traffic No 26

      From the junction with Byway No 19 at the Slaley Parish boundary in a southerly direction for a distance of 2530 metres crossing Blanchland Moor to a point on Byway No 30 (the U8084 road) 365 metres north of Pennypie House.

    • Blanchland Byway Open to All Traffic No 30

      From Byway No 26, 365 metres north of Pennypie House in a general southerly direction for a distance of 460 metres to a point on Byway No 31, 50 metres south-west of Pennypie House.

  • Blanchland Byway Open to All Traffic No 31

    From a point on the junction with Byway No 30, 50 metres west of Pennypie House in a general southerly direction for a distance of 1065 metres to a point 365 metres east of Birkside.

There is no alternative route available.

The Order is to be effective from the 5th January 2026 until the 5th July 2026.
