What is happening?

BATH & NORTH EAST SOMERSET COUNCIL

(THTTC3990 IFORD LANE, FRESHFORD, BATH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Iford Lane, Freshford, Bath from a point outside 18 Iford Lane extending west for approximately 30 metres. USRN: 47902299.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Openreach to carry out pole replacement works on the 11th December 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for ONE DAY.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Iford Lane (remainder) – Staples Hill – South East from Staples Hill to Iford Hill – Iford Hill – Iford Lane – Iford Hill – Iford Lane – vice versa.

(THTTC4004 ANCHOR LANE, COMBE HAY, BATH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Anchor Lane, Combe Hay, Bath from a point approximately 100 metres east of Anchor Farm. USRN: 47918918.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Openreach to replace a BT pole on the 8th January 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for ONE DAY.

(THTTC4026 UPPER EAST HAYES, WALCOT, BATH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Upper East Hayes, Walcot, Bath from its junction with Kensington Gardens extending north and east for approximately 87 metres. USRN: 47901404.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Openreach to lay approx 32m of duct and clear 2 x blockages from the 9th December 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for THREE DAYS between 09:30-17:00hrs.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Contractors to carry out essential tree works on the 6th January 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for ONE DAY between 09:30 – 15:00hrs.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Wales & West Utilities to carry out gas main upgrade works from the 5th January 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for TWELVE DAYS.
