What is happening?

EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
The East Sussex (B2087 Dale Hill, Ticehurst) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure
Dale Hill – from the junction with U6187 Tinkers Lane to the junction with U6346 Steellands Rise.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2087 Lower Platts – B2099 Pashley Road, Ticehurst Road – A21(T) – B2087 High Street, Union Street, Broom Hill, Berners Hill.

The Order commences 22 December 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.

However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 22 and 23 December 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C251 Beech Green Lane, Withyham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure
Beech Green Lane – from the junction with C251 Station Road to the junction with A264 East Grinstead Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A264 East Grinstead Road, Colestock Road – B2026 Edenbridge Road – B2110 Castlefields, Withyham Road – C251 Station Road and vice versa.

The Order commenced 14 May 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 12 December 2025 depending upon the weather conditions. If you require further information telephone Network Management on 0345 60 80 193.

The East Sussex (C82 Bartley Mill Road, Frant) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure
Bartley Mill Road – from the junction with B2169 Furnace Lane to the junction with U7534 Sleepers Stile Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2169 Furnace Lane, Furnace Lane (KCC), The Down (KCC) – B2100 The Slade (KCC), The Slade, Cousley Wood Road – C82 Newbury Lane, Monks Lane and vice versa.

The Order commenced 30 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.

However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 12 and 15 December 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.
