What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PART OF HARVEST ROAD WICKERSLEY ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Harvest Road from its junction with Radley Avenue to outside number 3 Harvest Road from Monday 15th December until Friday 19th December 2025.
NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via local diversions.
The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Electrical works). Dated this 4th day of December 2025 B. Nahal, Head of Legal Services.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PART OF KILNHURST ROAD SERVICE ROAD KILNHURST ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Kilnhurst Road service road from its most western junction to its most eastern junction with Kilnhurst Road from Tuesday 9th December until Thursday 11th December 2025.
NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Kilnhurst Road and vice versa.

PART OF SCHOLES LANE SCHOLES ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Scholes Lane from its junction with A629 Upper Wortley Road for a distance of approximately 950m in a north westerly direction on Wednesday 17th December 2025 between the hours of 9am and 3pm.
NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via A629 Upper Wortley Road, B6086 Brook Hill, B6086 Thorpe Street, Wentworth Road, Scholes Village and vice versa.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.5 THORPE HESLEY PART OF
PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY NO.6 THORPE HESLEY ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS AND HORSE RIDERS)
NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along that part of Public Footpath No.5 Thorpe Hesley specified in item (i) of the Schedule to this notice and to prohibit any pedestrian and horse rider from proceeding along that part of Public Bridleway No.6 Thorpe Hesley specified in item (ii) of the Schedule to this notice from Monday 15th December 2025 for a period of 6 months.
NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for pedestrians and horse riders affected by the Order will be via signed diversions.
The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath and bridleway (Coal Authority works to construct a new water treatment scheme).
SCHEDULE
(i) That part of Public Footpath No.5 Thorpe Hesley commencing from a point at Grid Reference SK 3822 9633 and proceeding in a south easterly direction for a distance of 415m to a point at Grid Reference SK 3857 9615.
(ii) That part of Public Bridleway No.6 Thorpe Hesley commencing from a point at GR SK 3827 9628 and proceeding in a southerly direction for a distance of 135 m to a point at GR SK 3826 9612.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PART OF CARLTON AVENUE CLIFTON ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Carlton Avenue from its junction with Old Clifton Lane to outside number 35 Carlton Avenue on Monday 15th December until Wednesday 17th December 2025.
NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order, the road is a cul de sac.
The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Footway resurfacing). Dated this 4th. day of December 2025 B. Nahal, Head of Legal Services
