Order 2010 (Amendment No. 1) Order 2025
The Council on 1/12/2025 made an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32 and 35 and part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 “the Act”), as amended, the effect of which comes into operation on 11/12/2025 and will bring into force the following restrictions Removal of the existing ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ restrictions on:
a. the western side of the C126, Blackett Street, Annfield Plain, from a point adjacent to Pontop House, for a distance of 22 metres in a northerly direction
b. the eastern side of the C126, Blackett Street, Annfield Plain, from a point adjacent to Number 23 Cedar Court, for a distance of 21 metres in a southerly direction.
‘No Waiting At Any Time’ restrictions on:
a. the western side of the C126, A693/A693 Cross, Greencroft from a point adjacent to Number 4 Greencroft Terrace, for a distance of 101 metres in a northerly direction
b. the western side of the C126, A693/A693 Cross, Greencroft from a point adjacent to Gibside, Loud View Terrace, for a distance of 95 metres in a northerly direction
c. both sides of the junction from Pontop Terrace, Greencroft onto the C126, A693/A693 Cross, from a point adjacent to Number 10 Pontop Terrace, for a distance of 12 metres on either side
d. both sides of the junction from Pontop Terrace, Greencroft onto the C126, A693/A693 Cross, starting from a point adjacent to Number 20 Pontop Terrace, for a distance of 10 metres on either side of the junction
and the western side of the C126, Blackett Street, Annfield Plain from a point south of Granville Avenue, Annfield Plain from a point adjacent to Number 16 New Front Street, for a distance of 11 metres in a westerly then southerly direction
f. the western side of Granville Avenue, Annfield Plain from a point adjacent to Number 16 Granville Avenue, for a distance of 8 metres in a northerly direction into Pontop Court
g. the northern side of Granville Avenue, Annfield Plain from a point adjacent to Number 16 New Front Street, for a distance of 8 metres in a westerly then northerly direction into Pontop Court.
‘No stopping’ (Monday–Friday, 8am–6pm on entrance markings) restrictions:
on the western side of the C126, Blackett Street, Annfield Plain from a point adjacent to School House, Blackett Street, for a distance of 58 metres in a southerly direction.
A copy of the draft Order and supporting documentation may be inspected at Annfield Plain Library & County Hall, Durham during normal opening hours and via the Council website. A copy of the Order and supporting documents can be seen via the Council website, and at Annfield Plain Library during normal opening hours. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by “the Act”, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks from 1/12/2025.
