What is happening?

City Of Bristol

(Johnsons Lane, Easton, Bristol)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Use By Foot Passengers And Pedal Cycles) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians and pedal cycles that length of Johnsons Lane which extends from Whitehall Gardens to Unnamed Footpath between Johnsons Lane and Whitehall Road.

The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be operative from 18th January 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. 

However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 18th January 2026 and 23rd January 2026).

Alternative Route: Whitehall Gardens, Whitehall Road, Unnamed Footpath between Johnsons Lane and Whitehall Road and vice versa

(Charlton Gardens Footpath, Southmead, Bristol)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Use By Foot Passengers) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians that length of Charlton Gardens Footpath which extends from Charlton Gardens north eastwards to its closed end (outside No.11 and No.13 Charlton Gardens).

Exemption will be provided in the Order for pedestrians requiring necessary access to premises situated on, adjacent to or accessible only from that closed length of footpath as specified above.

The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath and will be operative from 23rd January 2026 for a maximum period of six months. 

However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 23rd January 2026 and 30th January 2026).

(Southleigh Road, Clifton, Bristol)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Use By Vehicles) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Southleigh Road which extends from Oakfield Place to Oakfield Road.

The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be operative from 9th February 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. 

However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 9.30 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. daily from 9th February 2026 to 11th February 2026).

Alternative Route: Oakfield Road, Whiteladies Road, St. Pauls Road, Oakfield Place and vice versa

(Bradley Crescent, Shirehampton, Bristol)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Use By Vehicles) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Bradley Crescent which extends from the common boundary line of No.46 and No.48 Bradley Crescent to the common boundary line of No.60 and No.62 Bradley Crescent.

The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be operative from 19th January 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. 

However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 19th January 2026 and 22nd January 2026).

Alternative Routes:
North eastbound: Bradley Crescent (part unaffected), Springfield Avenue, Station Road, Pembroke Road, Bradley Crescent (part unaffected)
South westbound: Bradley Crescent (part unaffected), Pembroke Road, Priory Road, Springfield Avenue, Bradley Crescent (part unaffected)
