Ladywood Road - 20mph Speed Limit Order

What is happening?

BIRMINGHAM CITY COUNCIL
(LADYWOOD ROAD ETC, LADYWOOD) (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 202*

NOTICE is hereby given that the above named Council propose to make this Order under Sections 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended) the effect of which will be as follows:

1. To introduce a 20mph speed limit on lengths of LADYWOOD ROAD, SADLERS WALK, HOLY WELL CLOSE, SKIPTON ROAD, LEYBURN ROAD, ARDEN GROVE, FRANCIS ROAD.

INSTALLATION OF ROAD HUMPS LADYWOOD ROAD ETC, LADYWOOD

NOTICE is hereby given that above named Council proposes under Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 to construct speed cushions up to a maximum height of 75mm, at the following approximate locations, for the purpose of reducing speed:

1. LADYWOOD ROAD – approximately outside property no. 4 Sadlers Walk

2. LADYWOOD ROAD – approximately outside property no. 1 Sadlers Walk

3. LADYWOOD ROAD – approximately outside Bethel Church

4. FRANCIS ROAD – approximately outside Ladywood Social Club

5. FRANCIS ROAD – approximately outside property no. 32

6. FRANCIS ROAD – approximately outside property no. 26 7. FRANCIS ROAD – approximately outside Bradbeer House

8. FRANCIS ROAD – approximately outside property no. 77

9. FRANCIS ROAD – approximately outside Tricorn House

10. RESERVOIR ROAD – approximately outside property no. 94

11. RESERVOIR ROAD – approximately outside property no 80

12. RESERVOIR ROAD – approximately outside property no. 62

13. RESERVOIR ROAD – approximately outside property no. 43 

14. RESERVOIR ROAD – approximately outside property no. 33

15. RESERVOIR ROAD – approximately outside property no. 25

16. RESERVOIR ROAD – approximately outside property no. 5

Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order or Speed Cushions should write to the Assistant Director – Transport & Connectivity at Place, Prosperity & Sustainability Directorate, Birmingham City Council, PO Box 14439, Birmingham B2 2JE stating the grounds for objection by the 1st January 2026.
