What is happening?

DERBY CITY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS

Derby City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON CHAPEL STREET, SPONDON, DERBY

WHEN: 15 December 2025 to 19 December 2025 (20.00 to 05.00) – One Night Only

WHERE: Chapel Street, from its junction with Locko Road to its junction with Sitwell Street.

REASON: Urgent carriageway remedial works

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Sitwell Street – Church Hill – Church Street – (and the same in the opposite direction).

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON UTTOXETER ROAD, DERBY

WHEN: 15 December 2025 to 19 December 2025 (20.00 to 06.00) – One Night Only

WHERE: Uttoxeter Road, from its junction with Corden Avenue to its junction with Western Road, Mickleover Access to be maintained for Emergency vehicles.

REASON: Urgent carriageway remedial works

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Corden Avenue – Chain Lane – Pastures Hill – Rykneld Road – Haven Baulk Lane – The Hollow – Brierfield Way (and the same in the opposite direction).

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON COLERIDGE STREET, DERBY

WHEN: 16 December 2025 WHERE: Coleridge Street, from its junction with Caxton Street for a distance of approximately 25 Metres.

REASON: Telecom works

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Caxton Street – Kendon Avenue – Grenfell Avenue – Coleridge Street (and the same in the opposite direction).

TEMPORARY PARKING BAYS SUSPENSION ORDER ON VERNON STREET, DERBY

WHEN: 15 December 2025 to17 December 2025

WHERE: Vernon Street, suspension of 5 number of parking bays from No 17 towards York Street

REASON: Drainage works

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Not Applicable
