What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (B6387 MUTTONSHIRE HILL AND B6387 OLLERTON ROAD, GAMSTON) (40 M.P.H. SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025(1329)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council proposes to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effects of which will be, in respects of roads at Gamston in the Bassetlaw District in the County of Nottinghamshire
1. No person shall drive any vehicle at a speed exceeding 40 miles per hour on the lengths of road specified in the Schedule of this Order.
SCHEDULE
B6387 MUTTONSHIRE HILL AND B6387 OLLERTON ROAD GAMSTON
-The B6387 Muttonshire Hill from a point 51 metres northwest of its junction with Rectory Lane in a north-westerly direction then in a south-westerly direction on the B6387 Ollerton Road in a south-westerly direction for a distance of approximately 465 metres.

Any objections should clearly state the reasons for the objections and should reach us in writing, either by letter or email, by 2nd January 2026. If the objection cannot be resolved, it will be reported through the County Council’s procedures at the appropriate time.

The proposed extension of the 40 mph Speed Limit is being introduced to ensure it is more in keeping with the character of the road.
