LIVERPOOL CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC NOTICES

(Cavern Quarter Area) (Temporary Suspension of the Current Hours of Operation for the Prohibition of Entry & Exit of Vehicles & Prohibition of Loading & Unloading) (Temporary Prohibition of Entry & Exit of Vehicles & Prohibition of Loading & Unloading) Order, 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Council has made the above-mentioned Order under Section 14 of The Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984: -

1. The City Council of Liverpool (City Centre Core Area) (Revocation, Prohibition of Driving and Prohibition of Entry and Exit, and One-Way Traffic) Order, 2008, is hereby suspended insofar as it relates to the current hours of operation for the prohibition of entry and exit of vehicles and prohibition of loading and unloading in: - Button Street; Harrington Street (North John Street to Rainford Square); Mathew Street (North John Street to Stanley Street); Rainford Gardens; Rainford Square; & Temple Court.

2. To prohibit any motor vehicle from entering or exiting, other than an emergency service vehicle, or from loading & unloading between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 a.m. the following day, in the following roads:- Button Street; Harrington Street (North John Street to Rainford Square); Mathew Street (North John Street to Stanley Street); Rainford Gardens; Rainford Square; & Temple Court.

3. This Order will be operative from the 5 December 2025 to 13 May 2027 and is required to safely enable the Council to amend the hours of operation governing the entry/exit and loading/unloading restrictions within the Cavern Quarter Area until such time that a permanent Traffic Regulation Order can be formally introduced.
