What is happening?

PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH
(LORRIMORE AVENUE/ST GEORGES TERRACE/ ST LEVAN ROAD/STURDEE ROAD/FISHER ROAD/GANGES ROAD/GLENMORE AVENUE/ CRAIGMORE AVENUE/WELSFORD AVENUE/ BALMORAL AVENUE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, PARKING, WAITING, LOADING,UNOADING) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that Plymouth City Council acting under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), intend to make an Order the effect of which is:

1. To prohibit the driving of vehicles in:
• Lorrimore avenue - for its entirety
• St Georges Terrace - from Ford hill to Balmoral Avenue
• Sturdee Road - from St Levan Road to Fullerton Road
• Fisher Road - northbound at the junction of St Georges Terrace
• Ganges Road - northbound at the junction of St Georges Terrace
• Glenmore Avenue - for its entirety
• Craigmore Avenue - from St Levan Road to St Georges Terrace
• Welsford Avenue - for its entirety
• Balmoral Avenue - for its entirety

2. To prohibit the parking, waiting, loading & unloading of vehicles in:
• Lorrimore avenue - for its entirety
• St Georges Terrace - for its entirety
• St Levan Road - from Ryder Road to Sturdee Road Lane
• Glenmore Avenue - for its entirety
• Craigmore Avenue - from St Levan Road to St Georges Terrace
• Welsford Avenue - for its entirety
• Balmoral Avenue - for its entirety

The prohibition of driving, parking, waiting, loading, unloading will be in operation on the days and during the hours that the appropriate traffic signs are displayed. The Order shall come into force on 5th January 2026 and shall continue in force for a maximum of 18 months

It is anticipated that the phased gas works will commence on the 5th January 2026 until 22nd May 2026 24hrs
