Hallwood Road, Baguley Ward - Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic For Installing New Water Connection

What is happening?

MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):

ORDER NO. MCC146905288: The City of Manchester (Hallwood Road, Baguley Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Hallwood Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Floatshall Road vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate installing new water connection. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 8th December 2025 to the 12th December 2025. The order shall come into operation on the 8th December 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.

ORDER NO. MCC146473985: The City of Manchester (Cross Street, Deansgate Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Cross Street at the junction with Market Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Cross Street, King Street, Brown Street, Booth Street, Clarence Street, Princess Street, John Dalton Street, Bridge Street, Gartside Street, New Quay Street, Trinity Way, Great Ducie Street, Victoria Street, Chapel Street, Victoria Bridge Street, Deansgate. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate a crane. It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 10th December 2025 between the hours of 00:00 and 04:00. The order shall come into operation on 10th December 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
