TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC146809250: The City of Manchester (Cottenham Street, Ardwick Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Cottenham Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Cabot Street, Brunswick Street, Upper Brook Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate demolition works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 8th December 2025 to 12th December 2025.
The order shall come into operation on 8th December 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
