Manchester Drive/Elmsleigh Drive Junction, Southend-on-Sea - Temporary Road Closure due to Works
What is happening?
SOUTHEND-ON-SEA CITY COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
(TTO-25-26-MD) ORDER 2025
(MANCHESTER DRIVE/ELMSLEIGH DRIVE JUNCTION)
Notice is given that the Southend-on-Sea City Council under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made the above Order. The effects of the Order will be as follows: Marlborough Highways will be carrying out essential lining works at the junction of Manchester Drive with Elmsleigh Drive.
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily ban traffic (including waiting for the purpose of loading or unloading a vehicle) at the junction of Manchester Drive with Elmsleigh Drive.
Diversion routes will be as follows:
a) Manchester Drive – Blenheim Chase – Kenilworth Gardens – Eastwood Boulevard – Cavendish Gardens – Southbourne Grove – London Road (A13) – Manchester Drive.
b) Blenheim Crescent
The Order will come into effect on 03 December 2025; works are expected to start and be completed on this date, however, this Order may continue in force for a maximum of 18 months to allow for unexpected events/delays and possible remedial works. The restrictions within this Order will apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs.
