Temporary Closure Of Public Footpath N59/24, Cann

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians, horse riders and cyclists will be prohibited from proceeding along Public Footpath N59/24, Cann, from grid reference ST88308 20755 to grid reference ST88374 20905, a distance of approximately 180 metres.

The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 5th January 2026 for a period of 26 weeks.

This Order is required to allow construction work on C13 Dinah’s Hollow under road closure. South west end of the footpath will lead into compound area / construction site. There will be no alternative route possible on this occasion.
