SECTION 14(1)(a) and (7)

THE A50 TRUNK ROAD (CHELLASTON,

DERBYSHIRE) (SLIP ROADS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) intends to make an order on the A50 Trunk Road, at Chellaston in the County of Derbyshire, to allow drainage works to be carried out. The effect of the Order will be to close -

(a)  the exit slip road leading from the eastbound carriageway of the A50 to its roundabout junction with the A514 Swarkestone Road, Infinity Park Way and the A50 slip roads, at

Chellaston (Bonnie Prince Roundabout);and

(b)  the exit slip road leading from the westbound carriageway of the A50 to Bonnie Prince Roundabout.

The closures will be carried out overnight between 20:00 hours and 05:00 hours and are expected to start on Monday 5th January 2026 and continue for continue for approximately 7 weeks. The Order will come into force on 29 December 2025.

Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes, and vehicles being used in connection with the works or for winter maintenance purposes will be exempt from the closures.

Diversion routes via alternative junctions of the A50 and the A6 will be signed.
