A6 Broad Street - Temporary Road Closure

What is happening?

The Council of the City of Salford intends to make in no less than 7 days under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: SALFORD CITY COUNCIL (PENDLETON ROUNDABOUT (A6 BROAD STREET)) TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025.

The Order will introduce overnight road closures (8pm to 6am) at the below locations:
- Closure of westbound exit from Pendleton roundabout to A6 Broad Street.
- No access to Pendleton roundabout/A6 Broad Street from Pendleton Way.
- Closure of eastbound on-slip from A6 Broad Street to Pendleton roundabout.
- Closure of westbound on-slip from A6 Broad Street to Pendleton roundabout and no access to Hankison Way from Pendleton roundabout.

The Order is necessary for Salford City Council’s Pendleton Roundabout Parapet Replacement scheme. The order is due to come into operation on Monday 12th January 2026 and will last for a period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier.

The works are expected to be completed by Wednesday 25th March 2026. The diversion routes will be signed via A6 Broad Street, A5063 Albion Way, Regent Road roundabout, A5186 Langworthy Road, A576 Eccles Old Road, Cross Lane, Churchill Way, Hankinson Way, Rossall Way, Pendleton Way.
