What is happening?
KIRKLEES COUNCIL - ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14
(UPPER BANK END ROAD, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Upper Bank End Road, Holmfirth from its junction with Cinder Hills Road to a point outside property no. 7a PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Cinder Hills Road, Arndale Grove, Roaine Drive, Ryebank, Upper Bank End Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 22 December 2025 and remain in force until 23 December 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(ST JOHN’S AVENUE, KIRKHEATON, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of St John’s Avenue, Kirkheaton from a point outside property no. 17 John’s Avenue to a point outside property no. 19 St John’s Avenue PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via St John’s Avenue, St John’s Road, Fields Rise, New Road, St John’s Avenue and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 8 December 2025 and remain in force until 12 December 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(TAYLOR LANE/OLD LANE, SCAPEGOAT HILL, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in those lengths of Taylor Lane/Old Lane, Scapegoat Hill from its junction with Old Lane to a point outside property no. 40 Taylor Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Unaffected part of Old Lane, High Street, Slaithwaite Gate, Pike Law Road, Taylor Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 8 December 2025 and remain in force until 16 January 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(DEANHOUSE, NETHERTHONG, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO 2) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Deanhouse, Netherthong from its junction with Deanhouse Lane to its junction with Dean Brook Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Deanhouse Lane, Dean Brook Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 8 December 2025 and remain in force until 9 December 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(CHURCH STREET, HONLEY, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Church Street, Honley from a point outside property no. 20 to a point outside property no. 24 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via School Street, Cuckoo Lane, Town Head, Church Street.
It is intended that the closure will operate on Tuesday, 9 December 2025 only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(BARNSIDE LANE/GATE HEAD LANE, HEPWORTH, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in those lengths of Barnside Lane/Gate Head Lane, Hepworth, Holmfirth from its junction with Foster Place Lane to its junction with A616 Sheffield Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Sheffield Road, East Street, Hepworth Road, Butt Lane, Town Gate, Main Gate and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday 10 December 2025 and remain in force until 16 December 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(DICK EDGE LANE, CUMBERWORTH, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Dick Edge Lane, Cumberworth from its junction with Mill Saw Lane to its junction with Windmill Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Hey Slack Lane, Windmill Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday 10 December 2025 and remain in force until 16 December 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(BUTTERLEY LANE, NEW MILL, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Butterley Lane, New Mill, Holmfirth from its junction with Sheffield Road to its junction with Hollin House Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Hollin House Lane, Meltham House Lane, Tenter Hill, Staley Royd Lane, South View, Sheffield Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday, 10 December 2025 and remain in force until 16 December 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
