NOTICE OF MODIFICATION ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS LOCATIONS, HYNDBURN BOROUGH) (VARIOUS PARKING RESTRICTIONS (25-26 NO2D)) ORDER 202*
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council proposed to make the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. Following consultation carried out between 26 September 2025 and 24 October 2025, it is now intended to modify the proposed Order as titled above, to make the order in part, giving effect to the proposal as previously set out, with the exception of the restrictions set out below, which are proposed to be deferred.
For the avoidance of doubt, it is now proposed that the restrictions set out below will be deferred and that in the future the council may consider:
a) Abandoning these proposals;
b) Deferring a decision on their introduction; or
c) To introduce the restrictions, either in whole or part.
Proposals to be deferred
Schedule 3 - Restriction of Loading/Unloading Monday – Friday 8am – 6pm
Cartmel Avenue, Accrington, the north east side, from a point 83 metres south-east of its junction with the Centreline of Broadfield Road around the turning head to a point 95 metres south-east of its junction with the centreline of Broadfield Road.
A copy of the draft Order and associated documents for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Hyndburn Borough Council, Scaitcliffe House, Ormerod Street, Accrington, BB5 0PF, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website http://www.lancashire.gov.uk/roadsparking- and-travel/roads/roadworks-and-traffic-regulationorders/ permanent.aspx.
