Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council is under the above order dated 28th July 2025 continuing to impose a temporary variable speed limit on the sections of highway as defined in schedules one, two and three below. The Order which commenced on the 16th August 2025 and is currently in force for eighteen months will now continue until the 1st March 2026.
The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included The Council is satisfied that this further restriction is necessary owing to engineering difficulties and the order is needed because works are being executed on or near the road to carry out the dualling of the A30 between Chiverton Cross and Carland Cross including on and offline dualling of existing single carriageway with new grade separated junctions and under bridge construction.
The restrictions imposed by this order shall remain in force on such days and during such times as the appropriate traffic signs are displayed. In this order "traffic sign" means a sign of any size, colour and type described or authorised under or having effect as though prescribed or authorised under section 64 of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
No person shall drive a vehicle on a section of a road which is subject to a variable speed limit at a speed exceeding that indicated by a speed limit sign.
