Long Hill Road, Winkfield - Temporary Road Closure due to Tree Maintenance Works
What is happening?
BRACKNELL FOREST BOROUGH COUNCIL
(LONG HILL ROAD, WINKFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Bracknell Forest Borough Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, in accordance with Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from travelling along:
a) Long Hill Road, Winkfield in both directions between the junctions of Harvest Ride and Long Hill Park.
The alternative route for vehicles affected by this Order will be via: A329 London Road, A332 Windsor Road, A330 Winkfield Road, A330 Hatchet Lane, A330 Lovel Road, A330 Pigeonhouse Lane, Braziers Lane, Locks Ride, Long Hill Road and this route reversed.
The purpose of this Order is to ensure public & worker safety while tree work is undertaken surrounding a telecoms pole.
The proposed Order will come into operation on the 14th January 2026, and its maximum duration will be 6 months. However, it is currently planned that the road closure will be in place on the 14th January 2026 between the hours of 09:30 - 15:30.
This Order shall only apply when the appropriate signs and markings are displayed in the road.
