Warburton Street - Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic To Facilitate Scaffolding

What is happening?

MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC146895146: The City of Manchester (Warburton Street, Didsbury East Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Warburton Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Wilmslow Road, School Lane, Ogden Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate scaffolding. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 8th December 2025 to 21st February 2026.
The order shall come into operation on 8th December 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.

ORDER NO. MCC146896806: The City of Manchester (Whalley Range Carriageway Resurfacing, Whalley Range Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Rowan Avenue, Rufford Road, Royston Avenue and Sylvan Avenue. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Signed locally. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 8th December 2025 to the 12th December 2025.
The order shall come into operation on the 8th December 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
