Stratton Road, Chorlton Ward - Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic For Footway Reconstruction Works
What is happening?
MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC146844316: The City of Manchester (Stratton Road, Chorlton Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Stratton Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Manchester Road, Seymour Grove, Upper Chorlton Road, Egerton Road North vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate footway reconstruction works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 8th December 2025 to the 12th December 2025. The order shall come into operation on the 8th December 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
ORDER NO. MCC146845463: The City of Manchester (Rushey Road, Northenden Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Rushey Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Alders Road, Rothley Avenue, Benchill Road vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate footway reconstruction works.
It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 8th December 2025 to the 12th December 2025. The order shall come into operation on the 8th December 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
