What is happening?

NOTICE OF EXTENSION OF ORDER SECTION 14 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

BATH AND NORTH EAST SOMERSET COUNCIL
(PUBLIC FOOTPATH BA27/30, MINSMERE ROAD, KEYNSHAM) (NO.2) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025

Notice is given that the order made by Bath and North East Somerset Council on 19 June 2025 will be continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport in exercise of her powers under section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order will continue in force until the completion of the works to which the order relates, or until 7 July 2026, whichever is the earlier.

The effect of which will be to continue to close the section of Public Footpath BA27/30 commencing from ST66456771 and proceeding in a generally ESE direction for approx 137m to ST66576763.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the right of way: namely the applicant will be building residential properties.
