Temporary Prohibition of Use of Footpath

Shropshire Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order temporarily prohibiting the use of part of Footpath 55 leaving the junction of BW 18C at grid reference SO 25316 80007 running in a southerly then south easterly direction along Offas Dyke for a distance of approximately 1835 metres to grid reference SO 25616 78373.
The Order will come into operation on 15th December 2025 to 15th May 2026, in the first instance and is required on the grounds of public safety during essential repair works to the scheduled monument to allow recovery of the surface.
There will be an alternative available along the parallel Byway Open To All Traffic (the old drovers road).
