Asby Road, Temporary Road Closure Due To Pole Installation Works
What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (U4018 ASBY ROAD, ASBY) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable pole installation works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the U4018 Asby Road, Asby from its junction with the A5086, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 1.4km to its junction with the C4019.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via A5086, Crossgates, C2054 and C4019.

The Order will come into operation on 5 January 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 4 days, between 0700 and 1900 hours, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
