(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC IN LAYBYS)
ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company no. 9346363) intends to make an order on the A38 Trunk Road, between Little Eaton and Pinxton, in the County of Derbyshire, to enable vegetation removal works to be carried out.
The effect of the Order will be to close the laybys adjacent to the northbound and southbound carriageways of the A38, between a point 675 metres west of the centrepoint of the roundabout junction with the A61, the B6179 and Ford Lane, near Little Eaton, and the roundabout junction with the M1 Junction 28 slip roads and Mansfield Road, at Pinxton (Pinxton Interchange), including the abnormal load laybys in the centre of Pinxton Interchange.
The laybys will be closed in phases; the closures are expected to start from 13:00 hours on Tuesday 6 January 2026 and continue for approximately one month. The Order will come into force on 30 December 2025.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes, and vehicles being used in connection with the works and for winter maintenance purposes will be exempt from the closures.
