Suffolk - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Utility and Infrastructure Works
What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C642 QUAKER LANE, BARDWELL
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C642 Quaker Lane, Bardwell from Quaker Cottage to no. 4 to facilitate stop tap replacement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Quaker Lane, Spring Road, Bardwell Road, the B1111, the A143, the A1088, Bardwell Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 03/12/2025 from 9.30am - 2.30pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1102 FORDHAM ROAD, FRECKENHAM
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the B1102 Fordham Road, Freckenham from 400 metres east of the junction with the to facilitate water works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1102, the B1104, the B1382, the A1101, then the B1102 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 12/12/2025 - 15/12/2025 from 7pm - 6am. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C468 WENHAM ROAD AND THE C466 HOLLOW ROAD, COPDOCK AND WASHBROOK
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:
1. The C468 Wenham Road, Copdock and Washbrook from West Hill Farm to Westhill Bungalow
2. The C466 Hollow Road, Copdock and Washbrook from The Myth to the junction with the access road to Fen Farm.
This is to facilitate telecommunications pole testing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion routes will be:
1. Wenham Road, Copdock and Washbrook, Bottle Bridge Road, Raydon Road, Wenham Magna, Wenham Road, Wenham Magna, Acacia Road, the B1070, Woodlands Road, Raydon Road, Hintlesham, Clay Hill, The Street, Washbrook Road, Chattisham Road, Hollow Road, Elm Lane and vice versa.
2. Hollow Road, Elm Lane, Wenham Road, Copdock and Washbrook, Bottle Bridge Road, Raydon Road, Wenham Magna, Wenham Road, Wenham Magna, Acacia Road, the B1070, Woodlands Road, Raydon Road, Hintlesham, Clay Hill, The Street, Washbrook Road, Chattisham Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 03/12/2025 from 9.30am – 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U1631 MILL LANE AND THE C956 QUEEN STREET, SOUTHWOLD
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:
1. U1631 Mill Lane, Southwold from Stable House to the junction with Queen Street
2. C956 Queen Street, Southwold from the junction with Mill Lane to no. 5.
This is to facilitate providing pole bends and laying ducts. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion routes will be:
1. Mill Lane, Gardner Road, Lorne Road, Queen Street and vice versa
2. High Street, York Road, Godyll Road, Gardner Road, Queens Road, Queen Street and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 03/12/2025 – 05/12/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
