THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF CALDERDALE

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

(PELLON LANE/COW GREEN/BROAD STREET, HALIFAX)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Galliford Try Infrastructure intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Pellon Lane/Cow Green/Broad Street from the junction of Bull Green to the junction of Orange Street for a distance of approximately 160 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained at all times. The alternative route will be signed on site. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 4th January 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 10th January 2026. The Order will be in operation between 20:00 and 05:00 hours daily during this period.

(BETHEL STREET/BRIGGATE/COMMERCIAL STREET, BRIGHOUSE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by ESH Construction intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Bethel Street/Briggate/Commercial Street from the junction of Huddersfield Road to the junction of Bradford Road for a distance of approximately 537 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained at all times. The alternative route will be signed on site. Access will be provided for businesses and residents. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 5th January 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 28th August 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(STAINLAND ROAD, HALIFAX)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by LJ Heffernan Utilities Limited have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Stainland Road from the junction of Wakefield Road to the junction of Huddersfield Road for a distance of approximately 200 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained at all times. The alternative diversion is via Huddersfield Road, Exley Lane, Park Road and Halifax Road. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 8th December 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 10th December 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(CASTLEFIELDS DRIVE, BRIGHOUSE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Yorkshire Water intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Castlefields Drive from property No. 31 Castlefields Drive to property No. 28 Castlefields Drive for a distance of approximately 20 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained at all times. The alternative route is via Thornhill Road, Castle Avenue, Field Top Road, the unaffected part of Castlefields Drive and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 5th January 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 9th January 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(HAUGH SHAW ROAD, HALIFAX)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Northern Gas Networks intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Haugh Shaw Road from the junction of Savile Park Road to outside No. 64 Haugh Shaw Road for a distance of approximately 390 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained at all times via the diversion and vehicular access is maintained at all times via the diversion route. The alternative route is via Arden Road, King Cross Road, Aachen Way, unaffected part of Haugh Shaw Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 5th January 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 27th March 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(ROCKS ROAD, HALIFAX)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Northern Gas Networks have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Rocks Road from the junction of Skircoat Moor Road to the junction of Moor Royd for a distance of approximately 45 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained via the diversion route. The alternative route is via the unaffected part of Rocks Road, Albert Promenade, Skircoat Moor Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 8th December 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 24th December 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(WEST LODGE CRESCENT, ELLAND)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Northern Gas Networks intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of West Lodge Crescent from the junction of New Hey Road to outside No. 1 West Lodge Crescent for a distance of approximately 5 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained at all times via the diversion and vehicular access is maintained at all times via the diversion route. The alternative route is via the unaffected part of West Lodge Crescent and New Hey Road. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 5th January 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 19th January 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(HOLDSWORTH ROAD, HOLMFIELD)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Northern Gas Networks, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Holdsworth Road from the junction of Shay Lane to the junction of Brow Lane for a distance of approximately 30 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained via the diversion route. The alternative route is via the unaffected part of Holdworth Road, Shay Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 27th December 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 5th January 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(DANNY LANE, LUDDENDENFOOT)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by OCU Utility Services Ltd, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Danny Lane from the junction of Greystones Road to the junction of Ripley Terrace for a distance of approximately 125 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained at all times. The alternative route is via Burnley Road, Luddenden Lane, Halifax Lane, Abbey Lane, Deep Lane, Butts Green Road, Greystones Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 8th December 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 12th December 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(HALF HOUSE LANE, BRIGHOUSE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Yorkshire Water, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Half House Lane from outside No. 32 Half House Lane to outside No. 30 Half House Lane for a distance of approximately 50 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained via the diversion route. The alternative route is the unaffected part of Half House Lane, Halifax Road, Mill Hill Lane, Wood Bottom Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 29th December 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 29th December 2025. The Order will be in operation between 08:00 and 17:00 daily during this period.

(BROW LANE, HOLMFIELD)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Northern Gas Networks, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Brow Lane from the junction of Holdsworth Road to the junction of School Cote Brow for a distance of approximately 160 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained via the diversion route. The alternative route is the unaffected part of Brow Lane, Windy Bank Lane, Halifax Road, Roper Lane, Green Lane, Bradshaw Lane, Riley Lane, Holdsworth Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 27th December 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 5th January 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(DEVON WAY, BRIGHOUSE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Yorkshire Water, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Devon Way from outside No. 49 Devon Way to outside No. 53 Devon Way for a distance of approximately 20 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained via the diversion route. The alternative route is the unaffected part of Devon Way, Cornwall Crescent and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 5th January 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 9th January 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(EAVES ROAD, HEBDEN BRIDGE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Dutton Traffic Management, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Eaves Road from the junction of Church Lane to Hebden Royd C of E School for a distance of approximately 25 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained at all times. No alternative route available. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 10th January 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 11th January 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(BANK ROYD LANE, SOWERBY BRIDGE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Spectrum Comms Solutions, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Bank Royd Lane from Bank Royd Farm to the junction of Scammonden Road for a distance of approximately 250 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained via the diversion route. The alternative route is via the unaffected part of Bank Royd Lane, Clough House Lane, Scammonden Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 5th January 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 18th January 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(SAVILE ROAD, HEBDEN BRIDGE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Poletek Communications, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Savile Road from the junction of Bank Terrace to outside No. 1 Savile Road for a distance of approximately 30 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained at all times. The alternative route is via Bank Terrace, Church Lane, King Street and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 7th January 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 8 th January 2026. The Order will be in operation between 08:00 and 17:00 hours daily during this period.

(HOWES LANE, NORTHOWRAM)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Poletek Communications, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Howes Lane from the junction of Northowram Hill to the junction of Mount Pleasent Road for a distance of approximately 30 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained at all times. The alternative route is via Brow Lane, Cave Hill, Upper Lane and Northowram Hill. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 8th January 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 9th January 2026. The Order will be in operation between 08:00 and 17:00 hours daily during this period.
