Milton Road, Brighton – Suspension of Parking Bays due to Development Works
What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER – MILTON ROAD
1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into force will have the following effect:–
a) The suspension of the 4 permit holders V or pay by phone 9am - 8pm parking bays, on the eastern kerb line of Milton Road, from the junction with Elm Grove, southward for 4 bays.
b) The suspension of 2 permit holders V 9am - 8pm parking bays, on the eastern kerb line of Milton Road, outside properties no.6 and no.7.
2. The Order is necessary to allow contractors to carry out development works with a pit lane.
A signed diversion route will be in place for pedestrian traffic.
3. This Order comes into force on 10 December 2025 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed, which is anticipated to be 18 December 2026.
