Hodshrove Lane, Brighton – Temporary Road Closure due to Drainage Works

What is happening?

BRIGHTON AND HOVE CITY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER – HODSHROVE LANE

1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council have on the 24 November 2025 made an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which has the following effect:–

• The temporary closure of Hodshrove Lane between its junctions with Hodshrove Road to Broadfields Road

• The temporary suspension of the exiting one-way traffic order in Broadfields Road to allow for two-way access.

2. The Order is necessary to allow contractors to install a new drainage connection

3. Pedestrian access will be maintained, and a signed diversion route will be in place for vehicular traffic.

4. This Order comes into force on 1st December for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed, which is anticipated to be 9 February 2026
