Basingstoke, Temporary Road Closures For New Water Connection Works

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES - POPHAM LANE & FOX LANE, NORTH WALTHAM, BASINGSTOKE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.

ROADS TO BE CLOSED:

• that part of Popham Lane between the property known as Kyte Abbey and a point approx. 40m south of the junction with Fox Lane.
• that part of Fox Lane between its junction with Popham Lane and a point approx. 40m south from that junction.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Yew Street Road, Up Street, Maidenthorne Lane, A30.

DURATION OF ORDER: from 17th December 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 3 days, working between the hours 08:00-17:00 and in operation for 24 hours a day).

The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for South East Water to install a new water connection. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order or the associated works, please contact: highways@southeastwater.co.uk

South East Water will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
