What is happening?

(Tillington: Public Bridleway No. 1027)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from proceeding along a length of Public Bridleway No 1027 from its northern end at its junction with Whites Green Road (SU947252), southwards to its junction with Public Footpath No. 1047 (SU946239), a distance of approximately 1.3 km.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety due to an unsafe bridge.
Unfortunately there are no alternative routes available using the Public Rights of Way network.
The Order will come into effect on 4TH December 2025 and will last for 6 months.

(Fishbourne: Old Park Lane, Salthill Road & Mill Lane)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close:-
(i) Old Park Lane between the A259 and Old Park House; and then
(ii) Salthill Road between Newport Drive and Roman Way; and then
(iii)Mill Lane between the A259 and Mill Close
The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst essential gas mains replacement works are undertaken.
The Order will come into effect on 8 December 2025 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated works will commence on Old Park Lane on or after 8 December 2025 and will take 8 weeks to complete. Works will then commence on Salthill Road and will take 5 weeks to complete. Works will then commence on Mill Lane to be completed on 27 March 2026

(20mph Speed Limit) Order 202*
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC proposes to introduce a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit on lengths of:-
Barncroft Close, Bayley Road, Bishops Road, Caedwalla Drive,
Canberra Place, Chestnut Walk, Chichester Drive, Church Lane,
Churchwood Drive, City Fields Way, Derwent Close, Duxford Close, Edwards Avenue, Fulmar Way, Gamecock Terrace,
Garland Square, Gibson Road, Haleybridge Walk, Hampden Place, Hawker Close, Hearn Close, Lysander Way, Malcolm
Road, Meadow Way, Meadowside Walk, Merlin Close, Middleton
Gardens, Nelson Close, Nettleton Avenue, Neville Duke Way,
Nicholson Close, Oakwood Close, Old Cottage Close,
Sunderland Close, Tamar Way, Tangmere Road, The Boulevard, Whitebeam Way and Woodfield Close.

(Barnham & Eastergate: Eastergate Lane)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Eastergate Lane in the parish of Barnham & Eastergate from its junction with the A29, eastwards for 600m. The road closure is needed to allow new sewer connections to be installed in safety.
The Order will come into effect on 8 December 2025 and remain in force until 19 December 2025. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.
During the operative periods of this Order the affected length of road will be closed in short sections as works progress. Alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Barnham & Eastergate: Public Footpath 325)
(Temporary Closure No.2) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is currently in place to temporarily close Public Footpath 325 in the parish of Barnham & Eastergate from its junction with Lake Lane, southwards to its junction with Yapton Road.
The continued closure of this route is needed to maintain public safety following a risk assessment of the operation of a railway crossing the footpath.
The operation of the Order will now be extended by a further 6 months, or until works to improve safety at the railway crossing are completed, whichever is earlier.
Unfortunately, during the operative period of the Order, no alternative route is available via the public rights of way network.
