What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN MOVEMENTS FROM A41 NORTH WESTERN AVENUE COLNE WAY INTO WOODMERE AVENUE, WATFORD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from the southbound carriageway of A41 North Western Avenue Colne Way into Woodmere Avenue, Watford (“the Roads”), whilst works are in progress.

An alternative route will be via A41 (North Western Avenue Colne Way/North Western Avenue), A412 St Albans Road, Bushey Mill Lane and Woodmere Avenue.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 14 December 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BRAMPTON TERRACE/ STAPLETON ROAD, BOREHAMWOOD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Brampton Terrace/Stapleton Road, Borehamwood from its junction with the Savity Way roundabout north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with B5378 Green Street, a distance of approximately 695m (“the length of Roads”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Aycliffe Road, Gateshead Road and B5378 (Cowley Hill/Green Street).

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 15 December 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS IN HUNTON BRIDGE, WATFORD, MILL END, RICKMANSWORTH AND SOUTH OXHEY) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:

1. That length of A41 Watford Road, Hunton Bridge from its northernmost junction with Bridge Road south eastwards to its junction with Old Mill Road, a distance of approximately 775m.

An alternative route will be via A41 (Hemel Hempstead Road/North Western Avenue), A405 (North Orbital Road/St Albans Road/North Orbital Road), A414 (unnamed road/Breakspear Way/St Albans Road/Two Waters Road/Two Waters Way) and A41 (Two Waters Way/unnamed road/Watford Road).

2. That length of Langwood Gardens, Watford from its junction with Maple Grove north westwards for a distance of approximately 30m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

3. That length of Mill Way/Whitfield Way, Mill End from its junction with Penn Road north westwards, south westwards, south eastwards, south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 511m.

An alternative route will be via Beresford Road.

4. That length of A404 London Road, Rickmansworth from its junction with the A414 Moor Lane roundabout south eastwards to its southernmost junction with Batchworth Lane, a distance of approximately 2178m.

An alternative route will be via A404 (London Road/Church Street/Riverside Drive), A412 (Rectory Road/Park Road/Scots Hill/Watford Road/Rickmansworth Road), A4178 (Cassio Road/Watford Road/Wiggenhall Road/Deacons Hill), A4125 (Eastbury Road/Hampermill Lane/Sandy Lane/Watford Road), B469 Green Lane, A4125 (Church Road/High Street) and A404 (Rickmansworth Road/London Road) or via A404 (London Road/Church Street/Riverside Drive), A4155 (High Street/Church Road), B469 Green Lane, A4125 (Watford Road/Sandy Lane/Hampermill Lane/Eastbury Road), A4178 (Deacons Hill/Wiggenhall Road), Frankland Road/Fearnley Street/The Hornets/Merton Road/Cassio Road), A412 (Rickmansworth Road/Watford Road/Scots Hill/Park Road/Rectory Road) and A404 (Riverside Drive/Church Street/London Road).

5. That length of Moortown Road, South Oxhey from its junction with Maylands Road south eastwards to its junction with Northwick Road, a distance of approximately 159m.

An alternative route will be via Maylands Road, Muirfield Road and Northwick Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 15 December 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A41 NORTH WESTERN AVENUE, WOODSIDE/A41 GADESIDE, LEAVESDEN) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A41 North Western Avenue, Woodside/A41 Gadeside, Leavesden from a point 428m north east of its junction with the A411 Hempstead Road/M25 (junction 19) roundabout north eastwards to its junction with the Aerodrome Way roundabout, a distance of approximately 640m (“the length of Roads”).

An alternative route will be via A41 North Western Avenue, A405 North Orbital Road, Horseshoe Lane, College Road, Langley Lane and Aerodrome Way.

The Order is needed because tunnel shaft inspection works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 15 December 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SHEPHERDS LANE, CHORLEYWOOD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Shepherds Lane, Chorleywood from its junction with Berry Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 300m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Berry Lane, Chiltern Drive and Shepherds Lane.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing gas main is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 15 December 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF LEGGATTS RISE, WATFORD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Leggatts Rise, Watford from its junction with Rushton Avenue north westwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Rushton Avenue, Clarke Way, Evans Avenue and Leggatts Rise.

The Order is needed because the replacement of existing gas mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 December 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF MILTON STREET, WATFORD) ORDER NO.2 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Milton Street, Watford from its junction with Garfield Street north westwards to its junction with Shakespeare Street, a distance of approximately 72m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Garfield Street, Leavesden Road and Shakespeare Street.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 3 December 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF TOMS LANE, KINGS LANGLEY) ORDER NO.3 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Toms Lane, Kings Langley from its junction with Hilltop Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Toms Lane, High Street, Bedmond Road, High Street, Gallows Hill Lane, Gallows Hill, Station Road, Primrose Hill and Toms Lane.

The Order is needed because electrical works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 December 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS IN WATFORD AND RICKMANSWORTH) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”):

1. That length of Coningsby Drive, Watford from its junction with Parkside Drive north westwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. That length of Hagden Lane, Watford from its junction with A412 Rickmansworth Road south eastwards, south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Euston Avenue, a distance of approximately 556m.

An alternative route will be via A412 Rickmansworth Road, A4178 (Cassio Road/Merton Road/Wiggenhall Road/Farraline Road) and A4145 (Vicarage Road/Hagden Road) or via A4145 (Hagden Lane/Vicarage Road), A4178 (Fearnley Street/The Hornets/Merton Road/Cassio Road) and A412 Rickmansworth Road.

3. That length of A4145 Hagden Lane, Watford from its junction with A4145 Tolpits Lane south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with A4145 Vicarage Road, a distance of approximately 556m.

An alternative route will be via Hagden Lane, A412 (Rickmansworth Road/Cassio Road and A4178 Cassio Road/Merton Road/Wiggenhall Road/Farraline Road) and A4145 Vicarage Road.

4. That length of Lower High Street, Watford from its junction with A411 Waterfields Way north westwards for a distance of approximately 50m.

An alternative route will be via A411 (Waterfields Way/Beechen Grove and Lower High Street) or via Lower High Street and A411 (Exchange Road/Beechen Grove/Waterfields Way/Lower High Street).

5. That length of Mount View, Rickmansworth from its junction with Starling Way south eastwards to its junction with Field Way, a distance of approximately 111m.

An alternative route will be via Park Way, A412 Uxbridge Road, Field Way and Mount View.

6. That length of A412 St Albans Road, Watford from its junction with the A41 The Dome roundabout south westwards to its junction with ‘Odhams Trading Estate’ access road, a distance of approximately 146m.

An alternative route will be via A41 (North Western Avenue/North Western Avenue Colne Way), A4008 Stephenson Way, A411 Beechen Grove (Exchange Road/Beechen Grove) and A412 St Albans Road or via A412 St Albans Road, A411 Beechen Grove, A4008 Stephenson Way, A41 (North Western Avenue Colne Way/North Western Avenue) and A412 St Albans Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 December 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Quickley Lane, Chorleywood from its junction with Hillside Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 33m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Quickley Lane, Chorleywood Bottom, Common Gate Road, Berry Lane, Stag Lane, Rendlesham Way and Quickley Lane or via Quickley Lane, Lower Road, Shire Lane, Heronsgate Road and Quickley Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 December 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Villiers Road, Watford from its junction with A4008 Pinner Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 26m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via A4008 Pinner Road, Capel Road and Villiers Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 December 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
