TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2025 (NORWICH)

Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984

Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:

(i) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

SHIPFIELD – from 20m northwest of its junction with Brockwell Court for 45m north-westwards to facilitate new electrical supply works from 8th to 12th December 2025 (may continue until 23rd January 2026). Alternative route is via: Shipfield, Denton Road, Clabon Road, Wall Road, Sprowston Road and vice versa. NB: Access will be maintained for properties with no alternative route. The works promoter is UK Power Networks.

(ii) THEY HAVE MADE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

BARRETT ROAD – Barrett Road (westbound lane) from its junction with Duckett Close to its junction with Hall Road Roundabout to facilitate telecoms mast maintenance works between 20:00 and 06:00 from 30th November to 3rd December 2025 (may continue until 14th January 2026). Alternative route is via: Barrett Road, Martineau Lane, Bracondale, Queens Road, St Stephens Roundabout, St Stephens Road, Ipswich Road, Lakenham Road and vice versa. The works promoter is Cornerstone Telecommunications Infrastructure.

CONCORDE ROAD – from its junction with Vulcan Road South to its junction with Auster Close to facilitate new electrical connection works from 29th November to 2nd December 2025 (may continue until 13th January 2026). Alternative route is via: Concorde Road, Spar Road, Vulcan Road South and vice versa. The works promoter is UK Power Networks.

Unless otherwise stated, the effect of these Orders will be to prohibit the use by vehicles of the named road(s)/ footpath(s). In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance. Where an Order is for a reason other than works it is because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road/footpath. Anticipated dates are stated but the Orders may continue until the end date where necessary or required. The Orders are revoked on the end date or on the actual date of removal of the prohibition/ restriction where earlier without further notice. If necessary, the restrictions can have a maximum duration of 18 months or 6 months in respect of footpaths, cycle paths, bridleways, restricted byways, and byways open to all traffic (BOAT).

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
